Hi. I'm Matt. I make software for a living. I just moved to the Pacific Northwest with my wife and 2 kids.

I run a little software company called Built Software. We make custom software for companies big and small.

In February 2001 I had an article published in the C/C++ User's Journal, titled "Creating Web Components with Java Server Pages". That was back when JSP was fairly new and before I swore off Java for good. I was very proud to get published, however writing professionally turned out to be a huge pain in the ass. Who knew?

Completely unequipped and with snow still on the ground to boot. Brilliant! (I think about 8 people in the world could spot the nifty 24th Street Exchange BBS shirt.)
